FAQs

Does Duke Volleyball Camp provide scholarships or financial assistance?

Unfortunately, we are limited by NCAA regulations and are unable to provide financial assistance to our camp.

Duke Volleyball Camp offers a Duke Employee Discount ($30 off) and a Sibling Discount ($50 off the second sibling). Before you complete your registration, please contact our main office at volleyball@duke.edu for a promo code if you qualify for either of these discounts.

What role does our current coaching staff play in daily camp activities?

Head Coach Jolene Nagel, and her staff are very involved with the camp. They manage the camps daily operations, coach athletes on court, and collaborate with their counselors to ensure Duke Volleyball Camp is an exciting experience for all campers.

Who can register for Duke Volleyball Camp for Girls?

Any and all girls within the age/grade range for each camp.

What if my camper loses her key at camp?

The camp is financially responsibly to Duke University the day after each camp session ends for the replacement of locks for any missing keys. If you or your camper do not turn in your key by check-out, we will keep the $125 key deposit sent in at registration. The camp does not profit from the collection of these fees, all $125 goes directly to the university to cover the replacement of locks and keys. If a camper looses their key during camp, please notify a camp counselor IMMEDIATELY so that we can begin the search process for the room key. We are often able to find the key if we can immediately retrace steps.

Where will the daily camp sessions take place?

The gyms that we will use for camp are all located on Duke’s West Campus. The following gyms will be used for camp: Cameron Indoor Stadium, Card Gym and Wilson Gym.

Shuttles

Due to a change in the Minors of Campus Policy for Duke University, a shuttle service can no longer be offered. It is the responsibility of each camper and her family to arrange her own transportation to and from camp. Campers flying should book their flights to Raleigh-Durham Airport, located approximately 25 minutes from Duke’s campus.
